Now, it’s time to make room for more.
The More Rooms. More Families. Capital Campaign is a $12 million effort to build a new Ronald McDonald House– dramatically increasing our ability to serve families whose children come to Savannah for medical care.
13 Rooms Today. 32 Rooms Tomorrow.
Our current House opened on July 11, 1987.
For nearly four decades, it has been a home away from home for thousands of families.
But today, the need has outgrown our House.
Behind every number is a family that simply wants to be close to their child.
We need more room.
The new Ronald McDonald House will more than double our capacity while creating spaces designed around the changing needs of the children and families we serve.
The new House will include:
At full capacity, 32 rooms create the potential for approximately 11,680 family-night stays each year.
Thousands more nights when a parent can be where they belong, close to their child.
This isn’t about building a bigger House just to have a bigger House.
It’s about families.
It’s about Mom with a baby in the NICU.
The Dad waiting through another surgery.
The family facing weeks, or months, away from home.
And the moment we can finally say “Yes, we have a room for you” to more families who need us.
