It may start with a Coke. A Desani water. An energy drink after a long day.
Before you toss the can, pull the tab and save it.
Because those tiny tabs add up in a very big way.
It takes 1,128 pop tabs to equal one pound.
In 2026 alone, our community’s Pop Tab collections generated $7,187 to support families at Ronald McDonald House Coastal Empire. Which means that 20,241,960 Pop Tabs were dropped off here at Ronald McDonald House in 2026!
That’s a lot of tabs.
And a whole lot of heart.
Pop tabs are made from recyclable aluminum, and the proceeds from our collections help support the programs and services we provide to families.
It’s an easy way for schools, businesses, civic groups and families to turn something small into something meaningful.
If it’s an aluminum pull tab, save it!
If you can pull it, we can use it.
Bring your collection to our Pop Tab House located near the entrance of:
Ronald McDonald House Coastal Empire
4710 Waters Avenue
Savannah, GA 31404
Tabs can be dropped off anytime.
Pop Tabs turn an everyday moment into an easy way to help families.
So, the next time you crack open a Coke, remember:
That tiny tab carries weight.
